Perfection

So this has been a word that comes up a lot. It's not always used in a negative term, for example when I clean and organize. But more times than not it ends up being something that prevents me from doing something like this blog; if I can't write something great or "perfect" then what do I write? And that has led me to writing nothing... not so helpful in a blog where I'm trying to share what's going on.  :)
Another location this was brought up recently was in a bowling game, and although yes the point of the game is to knock down all the pins, I had someone point out to me that I didn't really try as hard on my second turn if I didn't get a strike on the first one. I don't remember that going through my head, but that would be the good part about having others around as we approach each day, to point out the things right in front of us that we can't see.
I have seen this in my schedule as well, if I plan things out and something changes (like they always do) then I pull away from following my schedule because it won't work out. I have started asking that the Lord would help me to see the good things that come from having a schedule in place, yet understand that things will change and it's okay.

With that said here's a quick update... I have been approved for SOFA (status of forces agreement) status and the paperwork is complete and I have an ID card in hand!!! The fun part about it is that my car is still registered to go on base, but because I was authorized to have an expired stateside license while I was in the military I never renewed it... and in order to get a SOFA license that will allow me to drive on base and off I have to have a valid license. So now begins the fun part of working with the Ca DMV and the base to see what I can do from here.
I have seen the Lord work in such amazing ways and I'm so thankful for the prayers and support.
